Very well made. The style is quite large, I would say it is an historically accurate "newsboy" compared to the more "stingy" contemporary styles. Mine measures 11" across when laid out flat. The tweed is beautiful. Sizes when ordering are listed in standard hat sizes but the hats are actually sized S/M/L/XL. I measure a 7 3/8 but the hat I received is labeled a "L" and I was a little worried about it but the hat fits me perfectly and it is comfortable.
